Qualifications

• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes impacting insurance reimbursements.
• Proficiency with telephone systems for outbound/inbound calls.
• Access protected health information (PHI) according to guidelines.
• Sufficient in Microsoft Office applications to complete work.
• Must be detail oriented and able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Timely follow-up on hospital patient accounts for insurance payments; verify payment status and rebill as needed.
• Handle 40-50 accounts per workday for assigned payor(s).
• Address denials and $0 pay reports within 24 hours of receipt.
• Gather demographic, clinical, and insurance information to resolve claims.
• Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Analyze denial trends and collaborate with teams to resolve payor issues.
