Job summary

ICF is seeking an Instructional Systems Designer in Reston, VA to create dynamic, user-centered training content for public and private sector clients. You will design and evaluate courses across classroom, online, and performance support formats, ensuring accessibility and effective UX.

Qualifications

6+ years of applicable work experience.
Master's Degree required.
Knowledge of human-computer interaction and performance-centered design is preferred.
Experience with gaming and simulation environments in instructional design is preferred.
Experience with rapid development tools and Section 508 compliance is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Work as part of a team under the supervision of a Program Manager.
Design instructional material for customized training courses.
Assess learning needs to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate employee courses and instructional packages.
Create new and revise existing training programs and curricula.
Ensure training programs adhere to instructional systems design practices and principles, including SCORM conformance and accessibility standards.
Provide consultation and perform instructional design functions for various client projects.
Develop clear and concise storyboards for programmers/online developers including graphics concepts and audio scripts.
