Job summary

ICF International seeks an Instructional Systems Designer to create engaging learning content with a strong emphasis on user-centered design, UX, and accessibility for all learners. The role includes developing classroom, online, and performance support materials and ensuring alignment with ISD principles.

Responsibilities include designing training curricula, assessing learning needs, and creating comprehensive storyboards for developers.

Qualifications

6+ years of applicable work experience.
Master's Degree required.
Knowledge of human-computer interaction and performance-centered design.
Ability to apply instructional design principles to gaming and simulation environments.
Leverage AI to streamline the training development process.
Experience with rapid development tools such as Articulate Storyline or Rise.
Detailed knowledge of Section 508 requirements as applied to course design.

Responsibilities

Design instructional material for customized training courses.
Assess learning needs to design, develop, deliver, and evaluate employee courses and instructional packages.
Create new and revise existing training programs and curricula.
Ensure training programs adhere to ISD practices and 508 compliance.
Develop storyboards for programmers/online developers including graphics concepts and audio scripts.
Provide consultation and perform instructional design functions.
