Job summary

Prison Fellowship is seeking a creative Instructional Designer to develop learning experiences for volunteers, program participants, and staff in a fast-paced, remote role across the United States. You will analyze goals, gaps, and learner needs to determine the right solution and translate ambiguous requirements into effective instructional strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult education, curriculum design or similar.
• 5 years of instructional design experience.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office productivity tools, project management tools, and storyboarding; experience using Articulate Rise desired
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills as well as client-facing customer service skills
• This is a remote/virtual position in the United States

Responsibilities

• Analyze business goals, performance gaps, and learner needs to determine the right learning or performance support solution.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into effective instructional strategies and measurable learning objectives.
• Design and develop learning experiences for volunteers, program participants, and Prison Fellowship staff via eLearning, ILT, virtual training, and job aids.
• Write and refine clear, concise course content, scripts, scenarios, and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to uncover performance needs and manage expectations.
• Coordinate with editorial, video, graphic design, and marketing teams to deliver cohesive assets.
• Partner with project managers to define scope, tasks, and timelines.
• Provide in-person or virtual facilitation as needed; admin learning platforms.
