Job summary

Prison Fellowship is seeking a creative Instructional Designer to develop learning experiences for volunteers, staff, and program participants in a remote US-based role. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in instructional design, adult education, curriculum design or similar; graduate degree preferred
• 5 years of instructional design experience
• Solid background in adult education, curriculum design, instructional technology, and instructional design
• Strong knowledge of MS Office productivity tools, project management tools, and storyboarding; Articulate Rise experience desired
• Strong interpersonal and client-facing communication skills
• This is a remote/virtual position in the United States

Responsibilities

• Analyze business goals, performance gaps, and learner needs to determine the right learning solution
• Translate ambiguous requirements into instructional strategies and measurable objectives
• Design and develop learning experiences for volunteers, program participants, and staff
• Create clear course content, scripts, scenarios, and assessments aligned to learning objectives
• Collaborate with stakeholders and SME to uncover performance needs and manage feedback
• Coordinate with editorial, video, graphic design and marketing to deliver high-quality assets
• Partner with project managers to define scope, tasks, and timelines
• Provide in-person or virtual facilitation as needed
• Administer Prison Fellowship learning platforms and user management
