Job summary

R.W. Mercer Co. is seeking an Instructional Designer on a full-time contract to craft learning content, develop materials, and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure alignment with organizational standards and learner needs.

You will design effective modules for in-person, virtual, or blended delivery, create assessments, and monitor performance using analytics while staying current with instructional technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, e-learning, or program management.
• Proficiency in instructional design models and adult learning theory.
• Experience with e-learning authoring tools and LMS.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop instructional materials, courses, and modules for in-person, virtual, or blended delivery.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate topics into clear instruction.
• Create assessments and activities to enhance engagement and understanding.
• Adapt approaches to diverse learning styles and accessibility requirements.
• Review and revise learning programs for relevance and quality.
• Monitor course performance using analytics and feedback for improvements.
• Ensure instructional products meet internal standards and guidelines.
• Maintain documentation of materials and development processes.
• Coordinate with project managers to meet deadlines.
• Support implementation and instructor training as needed.
• Stay current on instructional technologies and best practices.
