Koppers Inc. seeks an Inside Sales/Order Processing professional to support pre‑sale inquiries and order fulfillment from a remote US location. You will process customer orders, coordinate with plants and logistics, and ensure accurate documentation.

The role requires strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Travel to plants and on‑call nights/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or related field preferred; 1–3 years in customer service or inside sales.
• Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze, read and write general business reports and understand financial reports.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; remote position requires reliable Wi‑Fi.

Responsibilities

• Provide general administrative sales support to assist customers with pre‑sale inquiries and order fulfillment.
• Process and manage customer purchase orders and enter orders accurately.
• Coordinate purchase orders with plant locations, reload yards, procurement and logistics.
• Ensure compliance with Sox standards for documentation.
• Handle customer telephone inquiries and provide proactive solutions.
• Reconcile reload yard inventory monthly for accuracy.
• Cover for other inside sales reps when needed.
• Support restoration efforts during storms with order entry and on‑call shifts.
• Travel to plants for inventories and training as required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or related field preferred

1–3 years of experience in customer service or inside sales

Excellent customer service skills

Attention to detail

Ability to analyze, read, and write general business reports

Self-starter, ability to work independently

Strong teamwork

Proficient in Microsoft Office

Remote work ready with reliable Wi-Fi

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks

Willingness to travel 5%
