Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking an Inpatient Medical Records Coding Specialist to work remotely from MA. You will code diagnoses and procedures, assign DRGs, and support a remote coding team in a leading pediatric hospital.

The role requires a degree in Medical Records or equivalent, 4+ years hospital coding experience, and AHIMA CCS or RHIT certification. Expect ongoing training and collaboration with clinicians and the coding unit.

Qualificações

• 2 years of occupationally specific education or an Associate’s degree in Medical Records.
• Certification by AHIMA as CCS or RHIT is required or preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Follow guidelines to assign ICD-10-CM codes and DRGs using UHDDS.
• Maintain knowledge of coding regulations and perform quality audits.
• Respond to outpatient requests for ICD-10-CM diagnoses via email.
• Provide coder education and review work for quality and accuracy.
• Assist with case-mix and billing department inquiries.
