Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Medical Records Coder I for inpatient coding on a PRN remote role based in Florida. The position supports a 7:00am–3:30pm shift, Monday through Friday, with work-from-home status and residency in Florida required.

Responsibilities include assigning ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 codes, reviewing bill hold reports, and performing related duties. CCS certification is highly preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent is required.
• Preferred Associate Degree in Health Information Technology.
• Highly preferred CCS certification.
• Strong CPT knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Assigns diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems, monitors bill hold reports, and performs other duties as assigned.
