Job summary

BayCare is seeking a Medical Records Coder I - Inpatient Coding (PRN/Remote) to assign ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 codes from home. Primary duties include monitoring bill hold reports and performing related tasks while supporting Florida resident eligibility. This role demands adherence to coding guidelines and accuracy.

PRN hours, no benefits, and a requirement to reside in Florida. Shift is 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Requires medical coding training or certification.
• 1 year related coding experience acceptable in lieu of formal training.
• Strong CPT knowledge is highly preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred Associate Degree in Health Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Assigns ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT-4 codes for inpatient records.
• Monitors bill hold reports and ensures coding accuracy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

Assigns diagnosis and procedural codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT-4 coding systems, monitors bill hold reports, and performs other duties as assigned.

Certifications and Licensures
