Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking remote Inpatient Medical Coders for a 12-month contract to support a long-term government project. The role may extend or convert based on business needs. Requires 3+ years inpatient coding and active CCS/CIC/RHIA/RHIT certification.

Work-from-home arrangement is fully remote with a contract-based engagement from Dallas, TX, and eligibility for fringe benefits. Competitive hourly pay and potential bonuses included.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of inpatient medical coding experience.
• Active CCS, CIC, RHIA, or RHIT certification.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes to complex inpatient visits.
• Assign POA values for secondary diagnoses for quality metrics.
• Review provider notes and CDI insights for accurate coding.
• Utilize 3M 360 CAC to review documentation and codes.
