Job summary

CorroHealth Inc. in Plano, TX is seeking a Claim Review Specialist to audit inpatient, facility and outpatient claims, validating ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes in line with CMS and AHIMA guidelines.

You will collaborate with the Director of HIM and use proprietary software to identify improvement opportunities and deliver clear reports. Responsibilities include education of clients, conducting audits, maintaining high accuracy, and ensuring timely QA.

Qualifications

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential required; CCS, CPC or RHIT required.
• Minimum five years coding/auditing experience in acute care hospital or healthcare consulting.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS and CMS guidelines.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and auditing/reporting software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client-facing guidance.

Responsibilities

• Analyze findings and identify potential root causes of errors.
• Prepare summary reports with references supporting audit findings.
• Provide second-level review to ensure compliant code assignments.
• Research and respond to inquiries on compliance, coding, and denials.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to AHIMA standards and coding guidelines.
• Conduct audits and deliver client-ready deliverables within scope and timelines.
• Travel as needed for client engagements.
