Job summary

UASI is seeking an Inpatient Coding Specialist who works remotely from home. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of inpatient coding in acute care, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and strong accuracy in ICD-10-CM/PCS coding and MS DRG classifications.

Flexibility to adapt and a reliable attendance record are essential, along with proficiency in Outlook and Excel and experience with VPN/MFA and video conferencing.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC certification (CPC/CIC/COC) required.
• Minimum two years inpatient coding experience in acute care.
• Experience coding ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS diagnoses and procedures.
• Knowledge of MS DRG coding classification systems.
• Proficient with remote connectivity tools (VPN, MFA) and video conferencing.
• Proficient with Outlook and Excel; reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Able to meet productivity targets with high coding quality (95%+).

• Perform inpatient coding for acute care encounters with accuracy.
• Maintain coding quality of 95% or greater and meet productivity targets.
• Work independently with remote connectivity and standard office tools.
