Job summary

Mount Sinai Medical Center of Florida, Inc. is seeking an experienced Certified Inpatient Coding Specialist (CCS) to code and abstract inpatient records using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS.

The role supports a fully remote Florida-based position with a 95% accuracy requirement. Applicants should have RHIA/RHIT/CCS, an associate degree or Coding Specialist program, and at least 2 years of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Health Information Management or completion of Coding Specialist program or equivalent years of work experience.
• RHIA or RHIT or CCS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of ICD-10-CM/PCS coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract inpatient charts using ICD-10-CM/PCS with 95% accuracy.
• Review clinical documentation and assign codes with POA indicators.
• Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines, Coding Clinic, and internal audits.

Education
