Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Health Information Management required.
• Bachelor's Degree Health Information Management preferred.
• 4 years Coding Manager experience required.
• 4 years Franciscan Coding Supervisor experience required.
• 3 years Coding Experience required.
• Inpatient Coding Experience required.
• RHIA or RHIT certification required by AHIMA.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Coding Supervisors and staff performance through coaching and development.
• Audits and education program to ensure accurate inpatient coding and billing.
• Decides changes to coding staff day-to-day functions; aligns coding operations to corporate initiatives.
• Assists in standardization and implementation of corporate coding compliance plans.
• Supports regulatory compliance and external audits; liaises with regional teams as needed.
