Job summary

Duke Health’s Patient Revenue Management Organization seeks a remote Compliance Specialist to implement and maintain programs reducing risk through education and audits. You will educate providers on Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, HIPAA, and fraud and abuse, identify coding and billing risk areas, and perform internal audits to ensure strong controls across the revenue cycle.

Four years of administrative experience in coding, auditing, and insurance billing are typical; RHIA/RHIT/CCS credentials

Qualifications

• Experience with compliance, coding, and auditing within healthcare.
• Familiarity with Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, HIPAA, and fraud prevention.
• Strong internal controls and policy review skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain compliance programs per OIG work plan.
• Educate providers on government regulations and coding/billing practices.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate corrective actions with staff.
