Job summary

Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization is seeking a compliance-focused professional to implement and maintain compliance programs across the revenue cycle. The role is 100% remote for qualified US residents, with a focus on educating providers about CMS guidelines, HIPAA, and fraud and abuse, plus performing internal audits and risk reviews.

Excellent collaboration with physicians and staff is required; RHIA/RHIT/CCS preferred; four years of administrative experience in revenue

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; RHIA/RHIT or CCS certification preferred.
• 4 years admin experience in revenue-cycle, coding and auditing.
• Professional coding experience in surgical or E/M coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Educate providers on government regulations with focus on CMS, HIPAA, and Fraud and Abuse.
• Identify coding and billing risk areas and perform focused reviews and audits.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to improve documentation and compliance.
• Communicate with Medicare/Medicaid Carriers and third party payers about policies.
