Job summary

Datavant Corporation is seeking an Inpatient Audit Specialist for a remote, part-time PRN role in the United States. The role focuses on inpatient coding audits, regulatory compliance, and educator components within a flexible schedule.

Spinal experience and strong query writing are a plus, with an emphasis on customer service and professional conduct. You will perform audits according to scope using DRG methodologies, provide rationale for changes, and stay up-to-date with regulatory standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facility inpatient coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS certification required; RHIA or RHIT preferred.
• Maintain 95% DRG accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient facility coding audits per scope of work for onboarding, focused, and SLA reviews.
• Provide concise rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Stay current with regulatory changes.
• Prioritize and manage multiple cases to optimize workflow and turnaround.
