Job summary

e4health seeks an Inpatient Auditor (Part Time / PRN AS NEEDED) to perform quality assurance reviews of inpatient coders, onboard audits, and training for new hires. The role validates ICD-10-CM/PCS coding accuracy, POA indicators per AHA guidelines, and supports client needs with educational feedback and supporting quality improvement actions.

Qualifications

• AHIMA credential required.
• Minimum 5 years’ coding experience recommended; 3 years inpatient coding in acute care setting required.
• 4 years auditing experience preferred.
• Proficiency in ICD-10-PCS coding required.
• Ability to shift between projects and work autonomously to meet productivity and quality targets.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality assurance reviews for internal and external inpatient coders.
• Onboard audits and training for newly hired inpatient coders.
• Deliver training sessions and educational feedback to coders, including client sites.
• Communicate audit findings to management and client contacts.
• Assist in quality improvement action plans and monitor progress.
• Maintain reports and accuracy metrics for coders and clients.
• Respond to client QA needs and inquiries as directed by management.
• Present educational insights on error trends to coders and client teams.
