Job summary

Datavant, the data collaboration platform for healthcare, is hiring experienced inpatient coders for a fully remote role with a flexible schedule. Join a collaborative team shaping how health data is documented and used to improve patient care.

You will assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes, review and audit coding quality, supervise Level 1–2 Coders where applicable, and maintain productivity benchmarks while communicating with hospital staff and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient coding experience
• CCS, RHIT, or RHIA preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedural ICD-10-CM/PCS codes
• Sequence and abstract codes from records with precision
• Audit the work of Level 1 & 2 Coders where applicable
• Champion documentation improvement opportunities and coding issues
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy rate and 95% MS-DRG accuracy
• Maintain site-specific productivity benchmarks
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, management, and hospital staff
