Job summary

SolutionHealth's Elliot Hospital in Manchester, NH seeks Hospital Inpatient Coder to assign ICD-10 and DRG codes for inpatient services, ensuring compliance with guidelines and payer requirements while supporting revenue cycle.

You will collaborate with providers and coding leadership, maintain high accuracy, participate in audits, and help improve documentation quality; 2+ years' experience and AHIMA/AAPC cert are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of medical coding experience, Required.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s), Required.
• Experience/knowledge with healthcare coding and documentation audits and appeals.
• Ability to meet deadlines consistently and reliably.

Responsibilities

• Accurately assign ICD-10 and DRG codes to hospital inpatient services in accordance with current coding guidelines, payer policies, and regulatory requirements
• Interprets office, operative and procedure notes and assigns codes and modifiers for compliance and optimal reimbursement
• Ensure compliance with all applicable coding standards, organizational protocols, and documentation regulations
• Maintain a minimum of 95% coding accuracy rate through consistent quality assurance and participation in internal and external audits
