Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Inpatient Coding Specialist for a remote US opportunity. The role requires 3+ years of ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding experience, with RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC/CIRCC certifications (or completion within 6 months). Knowledge of MS-DRGs, APCs, MPFS/RVUs, POA and HACs is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years coding experience in ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS coding.
• Experience in inpatient, outpatient, or professional services settings.
• RHIT/RHIA/CCS/CPC/CIRCC certifications or completion within 6 months.
• Strong knowledge of MS-DRG, APC, MPFS/RVU, POA and HAC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM/CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Ensure compliance with AHIMA coding standards and official coding guidelines.
• Work across inpatient, outpatient, and professional services coding as needed.
