Cognizant is seeking an Inpatient Coder to support one or more clients remotely. You review medical records, assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and ICD-10-PCS procedures, and query physicians to clarify documentation while maintaining high accuracy in a fast-paced remote environment.

The role requires 3+ years of facility-based inpatient coding, Level 1 Trauma experience, Epic expertise, and the ability to meet productivity targets. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Competenze

• Three years of facility-based inpatient coding experience (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, MS-DRG).
• Level 1 Trauma coding experience required.
• Epic experience required.

Mansioni

• Review documentation to code diagnoses (ICD-10-CM) and procedures (ICD-10-PCS).
• Query physicians to clarify diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign codes using encoder per policy and regulations.
• Perform peer reviews of auditors and coders.
