Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a Remote Inpatient Coder to perform accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS coding for inpatient services from medical records within a community-based health system. This remote role requires RHIT/CCS/RHIA/CPC-H credentials and 3+ years of acute care coding experience.

The coder will work under indirect supervision, ensuring compliance with AHA Coding Clinic and CMS rules, and will use systems including 3M 360 CAC & Encoder, Cerner, eCharms, Legacy, McKesson, and MedHost.

Qualifications

• 3+ years inpatient coding in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient services, procedures, and diagnoses from medical records under supervision.
• Adhere to ICD-10-CM/PCS, AHA Coding Clinic, and CMS guidelines.

Type of Job Order: Remote Inpatient Coder Start Date: 11/23/26 Required Skills: 3+ years inpatient coding in an acute care setting Number of Weeks: 26 weeks Shift/Hours: Flexible M-F; Weekends possible Expected Hours: 40 per week for FT License/Credentials Req: RHIT, CCS, RHIA, CPC-H Systems: 3M 3M 360 CAC & Encoder; Cerner, eCharms, Legacy, McKesson, MedHost Abstracting Notes: Under indirect supervision, is responsible for accurate coding of all inpatient services, procedures, diagnoses, and conditions, working from the appropriate documentation in the medical record at a community based Health System. All work is carried out in accordance with the rules, regulations, and coding conventions of the American Hospital Association (Coding Clinic), ICD-10-CM/PCS, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
