Job summary

DaMar Staffing is partnering with a healthcare provider to hire an experienced Inpatient Coder for a fully remote 6-month contract. The role supports high-acuity, multi-specialty inpatient cases and requires CCS certification or RHIT/RHIA consideration, with Epic EHR and 3M encoder experience.

The candidate will code complex inpatient records across cardiology, neurology, NICU, transplants, and more, ensuring accuracy, timely submissions, and adherence to standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EHR
• Experience using the 3M encoder

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Additional complex inpatient cases
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations
