Job summary

Solventum is seeking an Inpatient Consultant to validate coding modules, train teams, and support CDI initiatives across facilities. You will collaborate with clinical and coding staff, present concepts to hospitals, and lead audit tasks related to DRG assignments while upholding data integrity and security.

Preferred candidates hold RHIT/RHIA with CCS or an RN with CDI credentials and 5+ years of inpatient CDI experience, plus travel flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with 7+ years in coding or acute care experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with 11+ years of clinical or coding experience.
• RHIT/RHIA with CCS certification and 5+ years inpatient coding and CDI experience, or RN with 5+ years CDI credentials.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Master’s degree in HIM or Nursing is a plus; telecommuting and EMR experience are helpful.
• Knowledge of Solventum HIS software portfolio (360 Encompass) and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Validate and apply software modules related to coding and training.
• Collaborate with coding, clinical teams and external clients, including content creation.
• Present clinical/coding concepts to hospitals and implement CDI programs across facilities.
• Lead audits of medical record coding, documentation, compliance and DRG assignments.
• Participate in corporate programs, ensuring professional, quality and security standards.
• Adhere to Solventum values and policies while performing duties.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

High School Diploma/GED

Master's degree in HIM/Nursing or healthcare clinical background

RHIT/RHIA with CCS certification with CDI experience

RN License with CDI credentials (ACDIS/CDDS or AHIMA CDIP)
