Job summary

Optum is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support patients remotely in Nevada, Arizona, or Texas. You will manage inbound/outbound calls, verify benefits, and onboard new patients with high-touch care across infusion/pharmacy services.

The role requires a current Pharmacy Technician license, PTCB certification, and at least 2 years of pharmacy tech and customer service experience. Collaboration with pharmacists, sales, and nursing is essential.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in NV or AZ or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
2+ years of customer service experience
Currently located in Texas or Nevada (Nevada must also hold Arizona license)
Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

Manage inbound and outbound call center communications and inquiries
Case management for (bleeding disorder/alpha 1) patient population with monthly refills
Collaborate with pharmacists, sales and nursing for coordinated patient care
Document caller questions/issues and resolve them
Onboard new patients with high-touch model
Review orders/prescriptions for urgency and claim status
