Job summary

Vivo Infusion seeks a diligent Infusion Insurance Specialist (Patient Access Specialist) to support intake, verify insurance coverage, obtain authorizations, and schedule patients for infusion therapy. You will collaborate with Revenue Operations to ensure accurate referrals and timely authorizations, while delivering excellent customer service.

This hybrid/remote role requires experience with payer portals, strong communication, and a patient-first approach to navigate benefits and coding.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in high-volume insurance verification, benefits, and eligibility/authorizations.
• 2 years of medical billing and authorizations or managing physician referrals.
• 1 year experience in a customer service or patient-facing role.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; strong communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; able to navigate EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Insurance Verification & Benefits and Authorizations for infusion therapies.
• Coordinate benefits (COB) across primary, secondary, and tertiary payers.
• Submit prior authorization requests and track timely determinations.
• Maintain and renew authorizations to ensure continuity of care.
• Review referrals and documentation; manage eFax and email correspondence.
• Communicate with payers, clinicians, and patients with professionalism.
