Job summary

GovCIO is hiring an Infrastructure Security Lead for a US Coast Guard program. The role is fully remote within the United States and focuses on maturing the security posture across networks, IAM/ICAM, and compliance programs.

You will design, implement, and operate secure infrastructure, lead incident response, and drive security roadmaps in alignment with regulatory requirements. Applicants must hold CISSP and be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 12 years of progressive information security experience.
• 3–5 years in a leadership/lead role.
• Clearance Required: Must be clearable up to an active Secret clearance.
• Certification Required: CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).

Responsibilities

• Oversee and mature our security posture across network security, ICAM, boundary protection, and ATO programs.
• Partner with technology, governance, and operations teams to design, implement, and operate secure, compliant infrastructure.
• Lead security architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments for new and existing infrastructure.
• Establish and maintain incident response, detection, and recovery capabilities; lead major security incidents and post-incident reviews.
• Define and enforce security policies and standards aligned with frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, FISMA, FedRAMP).
