Job summary

RTI International is seeking an IT Infrastructure Monitoring professional to support enterprise monitoring and data protection across on-prem and cloud environments. You will work with SolarWinds and Cohesity to monitor system health, backups, and recovery, while leveraging scripting to automate tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, information systems, or related field with at least one year of relevant IT infrastructure experience.
• Experience supporting and troubleshooting IT infrastructure, including servers, virtual environments, storage, networked systems, or cloud-based technologies.
• Experience using at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation, system administration, or troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure monitoring concepts (system health, performance, alerting, troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of data protection concepts (backups, restores, recovery, business continuity).
• Experience developing or maintaining technical documentation (configurations, procedures, SOPs).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage tasks and collaborate within a technical team.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment, configuration, and maintenance of SolarWinds Platform (NPM, SAM, NTA, NCM) and Cohesity Data Platform (Helios).
• Configure and monitor daily backup policies for on-premises and cloud workloads using Cohesity.
• Customize SolarWinds alerts, maintain dashboards, and integrate alerts with ServiceNow/Jira.
• Automate monitoring, backup checks, and admin tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure alerts, resolve backup failures, and perform data restoration checks.
• Maintain network configuration backups and update SOPs and compliance reporting.
• Contribute to SOPs, system standards, and business continuity/testing plans.
• Research technical solutions and provide evaluations with pros/cons and pricing.
