Job summary

Smith Arnold is engaged by a national middle market Investment Banking firm to fill Industrials-focused Managing Director roles. The MD will originate, source and close deals, expanding a book in sub sectors like Energy Transition and Industrial Services, with a boutique, entrepreneurial culture and top revenue splits.

The role is fully remote and can sit anywhere; location preference includes East Coast, Midwest or Southern states.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 10–15 years of investment banking and/or corporate advisory experience.
• Sell-side M&A experience with a proven deal track record.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing deals and bringing on new opportunities in Industrials.
• Origination activities, client pitches, materials, and building long-term client relationships.
• Collaborating with leadership and junior bankers to execute transactions.
• Advising on Buy/Sell side M&A, with a focus on sell-side activity (95% of deals).
• Providing guidance and mentorship to junior bankers.
• Analyzing market data and current trends; growing client book.
• Becoming a thought leader in a chosen sub-sector of Industrials.
• Closing 3–4 deals per year.
