Job summary

Divert Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager for the Industrials sector in the Mid-Atlantic region. This remote role requires you to reside in MD or VA and travel 25–50% annually.

You’ll own market discovery, qualification, and deal closure while coordinating with Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Product, and Operations. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in business development and adjacent industries, a relevant bachelor's degree, and proven data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, engineering, data science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in business development, customer acquisition, and project execution.
• 2–4 years of experience in energy, recycling, food & beverage, or transportation industries.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel.
• Strong communication skills with empathy for diverse audiences.
• Experience with data analysis in a commercial context.

Responsibilities

• Market discovery and regional expertise to match facility capabilities with market needs.
• Maintain and execute a pipeline to identify, qualify and win new business.
• Advocate Voice of the Customer (VOC) within the team and ensure end-to-end onboarding and transition to customer success.
