Job summary

Divert Inc. in the Northeast region is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive industrial growth for our circular economy platform. You will own market discovery, qualification, closing and growth, collaborating with Marketing, RevOps, Customer Success, Product, and Operations to win new business.

The role is remote but requires residence in the Northeast near a major airport (CT/MA/RI ideal). Travel is 25-50% annually.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of business development, customer acquisition, and project execution experience.
• 2–4 years of experience in energy, recycling, food & beverage, or transportation industries.
• Valid driver’s license required for travel.
• Strong communication skills with empathy for different audiences’ needs.
• Demonstrated data analysis ability in a commercial context.
• Detail oriented with sense of urgency and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Market discovery and regional expertise to match capabilities with market needs.
• Maintain and execute a pipeline to identify, qualify and win new business by engaging key stakeholders.
• Advocate Voice of the Customer to ensure successful onboarding and transition to customer success.
