Job summary

Yelp is seeking an Inbound Sales Retention Specialist to support, consult, and retain small business advertisers. This full-time remote role requires residing in the Western United States (Mountain or Pacific Time Zones) and a Saturday-Wednesday shift schedule.

You will help strengthen revenue retention, log into an inbound phone queue, and demonstrate the value of Yelp advertising through performance metrics, while meeting monthly goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 3+ years of client facing experience.
• Technically proficient with computers and information systems.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Experience in account management, sales, advertising, or small business preferred.
• Love for local businesses and understand their importance in local economies.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to track and complete numerous details.
• Ability to handle tough conversations with business owners in a professional, solutions-oriented manner.
• Ability to balance consulting and supporting as needed.
• Willing to receive and implement feedback.
• Embrace a fast paced and always-changing environment.
• Must have access to a reliable hardline high-speed internet connection; satellite or mobile hotspot not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer support to Yelp advertisers.
• Maintain inbound phone queue, consult and educate advertisers.
• Highlight investment returns through ad performance metrics.
• Resolve escalated client issues with strong listening and conflict resolution.
• Become proficient in Yelp’s advertising solutions and tailor recommendations to client needs.
• Communicate effectively with clients and teammates.
• Stay organized and productive in a fast-paced setting.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly targets.
• Utilize internal tools to research, draft proposals, analyze data, and overcome objections.
