Qualifications

• Hold Delaware Elementary Education Teacher and Teacher of Exceptional Children K-12 certification.
• Criminal Background Report clean; no Child Protection Registry entries in Delaware.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs based on assessments and progress toward goals.
• Design and deliver SDI aligned with CCSS and IEP goals using district curriculum.
• Provide standards-based core instruction with direct instruction, guided practice, collaboration, and student inquiry, including targeted interventions.
• Differentiate instruction using varied strategies and technologies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain structured routines and positive behavior supports, including Non-Violent Crisis Intervention when applicable.
• Regularly collect and analyze assessment data to guide instructional decisions and document student growth.
• Communicate with families about progress and participate in IEP meetings and conferences.
• Administer state and district assessments with required accommodations per IEPs.
• Supervise paraprofessionals and collaborate with staff to implement supports.
• Maintain documentation and reports (IEPs, progress monitoring, lesson plans) per policy.
