Job summary

Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as legal advisor to stakeholders, focusing on contracts, Title IX and ADA, privacy, IP, and IT matters. This in-house role emphasizes collaboration and high-quality drafting for online and on-campus programs.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, review student communications for regulatory compliance, support international matters, and conduct legal research across GLBA, GDPR, FERPA, NCAA, and marketing.

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
Admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; CT house counsel status required.
At least two years of experience practicing as a lawyer.
Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills.
Interest in contract review and key provisions (copyright, data privacy, IT security, indemnification).
Ability to develop working knowledge of higher education laws and policies.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and data privacy matters.
Reviews outgoing group student communications to ensure regulatory compliance.
Provides legal advice relating to ethical operations and compliance.
Supports international compliance for our growing international student population.
Assists with intellectual property matters as requested.
Performs legal research and develops resource material for internal educational outreach.
Collaborates with university associates and supports problem-solving on student and employment matters.
