Job summary
Scorpion Therapeutics seeks an R&D Scientist with expertise in Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Histology within Oncology Product Development to advance tissue-based workflows for oncology assays. You will design studies, optimize staining, troubleshoot Roche BenchMark ULTRA, and drive method transfer into clinical lab workflows.

Qualifications
- PhD in Pathology, Cancer Biology, or related field with ≥2 years industry experience.
- Alternative: Master’s with ≥5 years or Bachelor’s with 6–8+ years relevant experience.
- Experience in IHC assay development and FFPE tissue workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute studies for IHC and tissue workflows.
- Optimize assay parameters including antibody selection, antigen retrieval, and staining conditions.
- Troubleshoot automated staining platforms (notably Roche BenchMark ULTRA).
- Evaluate pre-analytical tissue variables.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transfer methods into clinical laboratory workflows.
- Develop documentation such as protocols, validation reports, SOPs, and provide technical guidance.
