Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines. The role supports retention and new business, coordinating admin tasks and servicing inquiries.

Hybrid work is preferred with 1 day in the Binghamton or Syracuse offices; fully remote options are available for those in Eastern or Central Time Zones. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, with a current active P&C license and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• 5+ years of account management experience or 3–5 years in the insurance industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Renewals: manage expirations, negotiate coverages and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and collect outstanding balances.
