Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensure retention, and support new business. The role combines client service, policy administration, billing, claims analysis, and renewal negotiations.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in account management (or 5+ years in insurance), an active P&C license (CIC preferred), and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty license required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues and ensuring data accuracy.
• Renewals: research, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Accounts receivable: monitor reports and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with accurate data.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the account team.
• Deliver proactive service and respond quickly to requests.
