Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to join our Power & Energy Program Management Team in Burnsville, MN, with consideration for other MN/WI locations and remote options. You will lead high voltage transmission line projects, manage scope, schedule, budget, risk and client relationships across the Midwest.

The role requires 10+ years in project management for electrical utility projects, strong PM processes, and the ability to travel to client offices for meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role.
• 3+ years leading engineering and/or construction teams on HV/EHV transmission line projects.
• Experience with Contract Management, Earned Value Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Schedule Management (CPM/Primavera P6) and Financial Management.
• Strong understanding of Power Delivery/Utility project delivery and ability to bridge business and project management.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office and PM tools; excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV and EHV transmission line projects, overseeing design, budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders and report progress to clients.
• Lead contract negotiations and client presentations as needed.
• Contribute to multi-disciplinary teams with strategic client guidance.
• Provide leadership to assigned staff and conduct regular project updates.
• Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain monthly status reporting to clients.
• Oversee problem project reviews and develop recovery plans as needed.
• Ensure project closeout activities and lessons learned are documented.
• Adhere to WSP Code of Conduct and safety policies.
