Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Manager to join the Power & Energy Program Management Team in Burnsville, MN, with additional MN/WI locations and remote options. You will manage technical scope, schedules, quality, and finances for HV/EHV transmission line projects, develop client relationships, and promote WSP’s Power Delivery services in the Midwest.

The role requires travel for periodic meetings, strong PM processes, and leadership to project teams, ensuring delivery excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of post-education experience in a project management role.
• 3+ years leading engineering/construction teams on high voltage transmission line projects.
• Knowledge of project management processes and tools (Contract, EV, Change, Risk, Schedule, Financial).
• Strong understanding of Power Delivery/Utility project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV/EHV transmission line projects including design, budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Develop strategies to engage stakeholders and report progress.
• Lead or participate in contract negotiations and client presentations.
• Provide inputs to multi-disciplinary teams and strategic advice to clients.
• Mentor staff and lead project kick-off meetings.
• Maintain regular client communications and monthly status reporting.
• Oversee problem projects and develop recovery plans.
• Ensure project reporting and closeout activities are completed.
