Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role.
• 3+ years leading engineering and/or construction teams on medium to large electrical utility scale clients for high voltage and/or extra high voltage transmission line type projects.
• Knowledge of project management processes and tools: Contract Management, External and Internal Team Meeting Management, Earned Value Management, Change Management, Risk Management, Schedule Management (Primavera P6), Financial Management.
• Strong background in Power Delivery/Utility project delivery.
• Advanced analytical and organizational skills with business acumen.
• Advanced communication and interpersonal skills with leadership and subcontractors.
• Strong self-leadership, attention to detail, multi-tasking, adaptability.
• Ability to elicit cooperation from diverse sources.
• WSP contingent upon client approval.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with policies.
• Occasional travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM leadership for HV/EHV transmission line projects including design, budgets, forecasts, margins and KPIs.
• Develop strategies to engage project stakeholders and report progress.
• May participate in or lead contract negotiations and client presentations.
• Provide inputs to multi-disciplinary teams and strategic client advice.
• Lead and mentor assigned staff.
• Lead project kick-off meetings with key stakeholders.
• Maintain regular client communications with monthly status and budget impact reporting.
• Oversee problem projects, root cause analysis and recovery plans.
• Ensure regular reporting to clients and management; flag scope/risk/budget issues.
• Complete closeout activities and conduct lessons-learned sessions.
• Uphold ethical decision-making regarding company funds and policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
