Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch company, seeks a High Voltage Project Manager to lead HV substation and interconnection projects for utility-scale renewables in the Midwest. You will manage EPC contractors, review engineering deliverables, and drive execution from engineering through commissioning.

The ideal candidate has an Electrical Engineering background with HV design/construction and contractor management experience.

Qualifications

Experience leading HV substation and interconnection projects.
Experience reviewing HV engineering drawings, specs, studies and deliverables.
Knowledge of substation design, construction, protection and control, and interconnection requirements.
Experience managing EPC contractors and cross-functional project stakeholders.
PE license or progress toward licensure.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Lead the execution of high-voltage substation and interconnection projects from engineering through commissioning.
Drive project performance by managing scope, schedule, budget, risk plans, and key deliverables.
Manage and influence EPC contractors, engineering consultants, utilities, vendors, and stakeholders.
Lead technical reviews of substation packages, protection and control designs, equipment specs, and drawings.
Review and direct high-voltage design documentation and studies throughout the lifecycle.
Ensure safe execution by complying with standards and electrical codes.
Monitor contractor performance and resolve issues to meet contractual requirements.
Conduct site visits and field assessments to identify risks and resolve challenges.
Collaborate with teams to identify risks and mitigation strategies for schedule and budget.
Communicate status and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Support procurement for high-voltage equipment and materials.
