Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch company, is seeking a High Voltage Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team in the Midwest portfolio. You will lead HV substation and interconnection projects from engineering through commissioning, coordinating with EPC contractors and utilities to deliver on time and within budget.

The ideal candidate has an Electrical Engineering background and hands-on experience with high-voltage design, construction, and contractor performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HV substation, transmission, interconnection, or utility infrastructure projects.
• Experience reviewing HV engineering drawings, specs, studies, and construction deliverables.
• Knowledge of HV substation design, construction, protection & control, and interconnection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead HV substation/interconnection projects from engineering through commissioning and closeout.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risk plans, and deliverables to drive project performance.
• Influence EPC contractors, consultants, utilities, vendors, and stakeholders for successful execution.
• Lead technical reviews of substation packages, protection & control designs, equipment specs, and drawings.
• Review and direct HV design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Champion safe execution by complying with standards and electrical codes.
• Monitor performance, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to contractual/technical requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, identify risks, and drive timely resolution.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to mitigate risks and protect schedule/budget.
• Communicate project status and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Support procurement for HV equipment and materials while guiding technical decisions.
• Identify continuous improvement opportunities across DEPCOM's substation portfolio.
