Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer to perform detailed quantity takeoffs, material analysis, and constructability reviews for high-voltage substation projects.

This remote role supports preconstruction, estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations with accurate material quantities, labor assumptions, and project documentation. Responsibilities include developing BOMs, coordinating drawings, and supporting EPC/design-build projects, with a focus on 12kV–500kV

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
• 3–7 years in electrical construction or high-voltage substations.
• Experience with EPC/utility project delivery methods.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Excel and estimating software.
• Knowledge of Accubid, Procore, HCSS, Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Quantify major substation components including foundations, steel, grounding, bus, conduits, cable trays, terminations.
• Develop material quantity reports and BOM summaries.
• Verify scope and identify design gaps and cost impacts.
• Assist in developing labor units, productivity assumptions, and installation durations.
• Support estimate development for EPC, design-build, and utility substation projects.
• Develop and review construction detail drawings and project layouts.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain project document control.
• Assist with constructability reviews during preconstruction and planning.
