Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer to perform detailed quantity takeoffs, material analysis, constructability reviews, and project detailing for high-voltage substation projects. This fully remote role supports preconstruction, estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations teams to ensure accurate budgets and proposals.

Responsibilities include developing BOMs, reviewing drawings, coordinating with vendors, and supporting project turnover.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 to 7 years of experience in electrical construction and high-voltage substations.
• Experience with estimating or detailing roles.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with estimating software platforms and Autodesk Revit.
• Ability to interpret One-line, Three-line diagrams, Site plans, Structural drawings, and protection & control drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Quantify major substation components (foundations, structural steel, grounding, bus, conduits, cables, terminations).
• Develop BOMs and material reports; verify scope and cost impacts.
• Assist in labor units, productivity, and installation durations.
• Coordinate drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
