Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an HV SCADA Engineer II to design, configure, test, and commission high voltage SCADA systems for utility-scale renewable projects. The role supports EPC delivery under established standards and may be fully remote or based in one of our offices.

The position requires 2–4 years SCADA experience, familiarity with RTAC/Quickset, Ignition SCADA, and electrical drawings. Travel up to 20% is expected, with a focus on safe, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
• 2 - 4 years of SCADA engineering experience (substation SCADA preferred).
• Ability to read engineering drawings: Single-line, Equipment Layout, diagrams & panel drawings.
• Knowledge of protection relays and power meters.

Responsibilities

• Review SCADA system requirements for substations tied to utility-scale projects.
• Support HV SCADA design development and drawings to meet specs.
• Program and commission substation RTACs and HMIs.
• Coordinate network settings and IP assignments for substation equipment.
• Troubleshoot communication issues between substation devices and controllers.
• Provide technical support for diverse substation configurations.
• Communicate with customers, vendors, and field personnel during commissioning.
• Promote NERC compliance and governance in programming and commissioning.
