Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a seasoned HV Regional Manager to oversee high-voltage substation, transmission, and interconnection projects across the Eastern region. You will lead project executives and field teams, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery while navigating ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, and WECC markets.

The role emphasizes leadership, rigorous project controls, and the development of regional staff, with initial remote work and eventual on-site assignments across the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred but not required given HV field experience.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of high-voltage substation, transmission, and interconnection construction experience; prior Project Executive or multi-project leadership background.
• Proven construction PM and budget forecasting experience with a track record of success.
• Knowledge of Western region ISO and utility markets (CAISO, WECC) and AVL qualification process.
• Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Strong understanding of HV construction processes, NERC and utility interconnection requirements, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for leading a distributed team.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and make informed decisions under schedule and margin pressure.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities across a multi-project portfolio.
• Familiarity with project management, estimating, and productivity-tracking tools (Sunscreen, Workday, Heavy Job/Heavy Bid).
• Extensive regional travel is required; rotation and per diem follow HV travel policy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HV substation, transmission, and interconnection projects across the region ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with quality, safety, and NERC standards.
• Monitor progress and schedule risk across the regional portfolio with attention to engineering, procurement, and milestones.
• Participate in go/no-go reviews for regional pursuits and evaluate contract terms and self-perform fit.
• Supervise and provide leadership to Project Executives, Project Managers, and field supervision.
• Foster a high-performance field organization and repeatable work processes across projects.
• Lead regular team meetings and PODs to communicate goals and updates.
• Support career pathing for regional staff with defined competencies at each level.
• Own QEW compliance, field safety audits, and energized work permit approvals.
• Ensure quality reporting, NCR tracking, and root-cause analysis across projects.
• Maintain auditable project documentation including QEW records, test records, and as-builts.
