Job summary

Worley is seeking an HSE Technician Level 1 on the North Slope of Alaska. This remote/rotational position involves two weeks on/ two weeks off (or three on/ three off) with a typical 84-hour week, including overtime. Meals, lodging, and transportation are provided.

The role supports COPA OFS contracts and focuses on health, safety, and environmental protection for work groups. Essential duties include coordinating with field teams, delivering HSE training, conducting audits, and supporting

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in occupational safety and health.
  • CHST/OHST certification or ability to obtain one within six months of hire.
  • High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to be insured by Worley.
  • North Slope Experience Preferred.
  • Must be willing and able to administer drug and alcohol specimen collections as part of the position's routine duties.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a strong partnership between HSE team, operations, and client representatives.
  • Champion field implementation of the incident prevention program.
  • Communicate effectively between multiple work groups and client reps.
  • Maintain a daily field presence with toolbox talks, safety meetings, and site visits.
  • Identify areas for HSE improvement and develop SMART action items.
  • Manage and prioritize HSE tasks to ensure timely completion.
  • Deliver instructor-led HSE training to groups of varying sizes.
  • Conduct regular site safety audits and worksite inspections.
  • Review hazard/risk assessments and close gaps with coaching.
  • Assist industrial hygienist with exposure monitoring and inspections.
  • Respond to incidents and facilitate investigation with operations and client reps.
  • Write professional summary reports for incidents and audits.
