Job summary

APV is seeking Human Resources Specialists with practical Employee Relations (ER) experience to support our DHS client during its HCM transition. These positions cover ER case management, awards, VLTP, FMLA administration, and reasonable accommodation processes.

Successful candidates can independently complete duties, apply HR policies, and help maintain service continuity through changes to systems and workflows while safeguarding sensitive data.

Qualifications

• ER knowledge and experience supporting conduct, performance, and attendance matters.
• Ability to organize case files, monitor deadlines, and prepare status reports.
• Knowledge of FMLA, VLTP, and leave programs administration.
• Experience with reasonable accommodations and interactive process.
• Familiarity with awards nomination processes and records maintenance.
• Proficient with HR systems, electronic records, and Microsoft Office/Teams.

Responsibilities

• ER case intake, documentation, tracking, reporting, and closeout; maintain records.
• Research HR policies and prepare summaries for government review.
• Support conduct, performance, attendance, and leave matters by organizing records and tracking actions.
• Assist with FMLA administration, including documentation review and follow-up.
• Coordinate interactive process for reasonable accommodations and tracking.
• Support VLTP requests and awards processing, including documentation and status reporting.
• Document HR processes and translate needs into HCM requirements.
• Participate in system demos and user acceptance testing; document issues.
• Review HR data and case records for accuracy during the transition.
• Develop and update SOPs, job aids, and training materials.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and project teams to meet deadlines.
• Safeguard sensitive information and maintain records in approved systems.
